Lancaster New Era
By Cindy Stauffer
Sure, sometimes he wears glasses. Makes him look kind of bookish. Or he sports a baseball cap, his long ears sticking out on either side.
True, he can tap his foot to music. And he is coming out with his own calendar, “Bunny of the Year.” There is that.
But his name is Fluffy, for crying out loud. He’s a rabbit. How special can he be?
Fluffy enters the activities room at Willow Valley Lakeside supportive living community in the arms of Diane Wolfe, his owner and a volunteer who takes him on visits to local nursing homes, hospitals and other places.
Fluffy is a Red Cross-certified therapy animal. The English Angora rabbit wears an ID card with his photo and a pawprint where the signature normally goes.
