Rescue shelter in Australia needs help

AFTER four years and more than 10,000 saved bunnies, SA Rabbit Rescue is in danger of folding.

Soaring living costs have crushed the volunteer organisation, run by Smithfield bunny lover Sally Arnold.

"I don't want to lose our home because of the work we do with the bunnies but we're very close to it," Ms Arnold said.

"It costs about $280 to run the service every week and between mortgage repayments and council rates, it's getting harder and harder to make ends meet."

Skittles needs new home ASAP

Hello! My name is Dana Kovach, and I am the rescue coordinator for the Scott County (KY) Humane Society.

Currently, our local shelter has a New Zealand rabbit that is in immediate danger of being euthanized. She was found as a stray in a local apartment complex. The person who brought her to the shelter tried to find her owner before bringing her to the shelter, but she had no luck. She was calling her Skittles. No one has come to the shelter to claim her either. I am attaching her picture.

If you can help her or know of anyone who can, please contact me ASAP.
Tel. number is 502-863-3279 Thanks!

Sincerely,
Dana Kovach

Tiny Dutch baby girl found injured and near death

I received the call around noon from a frantic person who had found a tiny baby that was seriously injured - This extremely ill Dutch baby was found abandoned in her back yard -the baby bunny was in shock and unable to move. The bunny is very lucky that she was found -just in time- and saved. We estimate that the baby had only hours to live without treatment.

The person who found her located our number as she had just picked up the debut edition of Silicon Valley tails at a nearby shop (that ad just happened to have come out the day before!). Our big blue ad caught her attention. This good Samaritan had no idea what to do or where to take her new found desperately injured baby bunny. So she called for our help.
